Sherwood Sledge Opening for Ernesting

hails from Baltimore, Maryland, moved to the City of Los Angeles in 1964, and immediately began singing in the gospel community until 1970, when he formally expanded his vocal talents in the rhythm and blues, jazz and pop music entertainment circles.
On Sun. Sept. 18. he will
be accompanied by the excellent Stuart Elster Trio. Sherwood Sledge has appeared
with such renowned artists as Quincy Jones, Patti LaBelle, Freda Payne, and
many, many more. Per request of Quincy Jones, Sherwood sang on the Famed "Roots"
album by Quincy Jones and was distinguished with a gold album. Anyone familiar
his work with Quincy Jones, or who has ever heard Sherwood sing as featured
soloist with the First AME church choir in Los Angeles will peg him as one of
the world's most inspired gospel singers.
